Reigniting the long-standing creative partnership between Greg Wilson and Kermit Leveridge, Super Weird Substance was formed in 2014 on the back of their inspired collaboration on the ‘Blind Arcade Meets Super Weird Substance In The Morphogenetic Field’ mixtape. Alongside the music, the label has also turned its attention to a series of events known as Super Weird Happenings, taking the sixties-styled gatherings to 5 stops around the country in 2014, hosting a memorable day by the estuary at Festival No.6 in 2015 and assembling the behemoth 14 Hour Super Weird Happening at Liverpool’s Florrie in 2017.
To celebrate Substance Select Vol.1 the latest 12” release from Greg Wilson’s Merseyside-based Super Weird Substance, label manager Josh Ray has cooked up a special mixtape featuring some of the label’s signature balearicpsychedelicdubdisco sensibility, alongside a few other choice club cuts.
