Soul Power with Funky_Bros (January ’18)

Soul Power is the latest show on Melodic Distraction, with Raimondo from Funky_Bros taking you through some soul selections.

Raimondo Romanazzi was introduced to soul singers such as Stevie Wonder, Jackson 5 & Simply Red as child. Since then, he discovered gospel and jazz studying African American history at school. During High School he began DJing soulful house based on his influences.

Funky_Bros is a duo formed of Raimondo and a close friend with extensive record collections in 2013 with a passion for radio. In the first part of the show, Raimondo joins the dots in the glorious 70’s one track at a time. The second part is a mighty selection of jazz, soul, funk, disco, latin and afro groove, with the occasional contemporary track thrown in for good measure.
