Bantam Lions (known to family and friends as Mike) is a Merseyside based producer exploring a broad range of conventional and unconventional electronic music.

He has released two LPs and EPs and other bits and pieces for various underground labels. In 2016 he was a guest on Charlie Bones Do You Breakfast Show on NTS Radio and in 2018, BBC Radio 1 Extra DJ, Benji B, featured his track ‘Get Set' in his end of year mixtape.

The first record Mike bought was Harold Faltermeyer’s 'Axel F’ 12” remix from WH Smiths in 1984. He is grateful to his parents for taking him to see Santana live in concert in 1978 aged 5. Mike was lucky enough to go to clubs in the early 90s before the internet ruined everything. Nowadays he wastes a lot of time watching synth demos on Youtube.

The Sunday Drive mix does not know where it is going. The Sunday Drive mix invites listeners to pull over somewhere quiet, switch off their sat-nav, recline their seats as we drift through 60 minutes of psychedelically spirited sounds from the present and past.

The route upon which we embark typically visits experimental / ambient textures and rhythms, classic techno, jazz, folk and 60s stuff. Prepare for some wrong turns – the Sunday Drive mix never reaches its destination.
