Melodic Distraction Radio
DRIFT is a mix series based in Edinburgh, giving DJs a chance to step back from their usual dancefloor fillers.
It offers DJs the opportunity to create a blend that twists and turns through genres not typically heard in a club setting. This freedom allows for lots of room for experimentation in mixes and gives listeners the chance to hear a new side to their favourite DJs – both local and international. The series has monthly releases, with the most recent episode being a journey through chilled breaks by frontrunner of the UK scene, Soundbwoy Killah.
In addition to this, DRIFT has shows on Edinburgh based community station EH-FM where founder SSID brings a selection of ambient, downtempo and chilled electronic to the airwaves. We’re delighted to welcome him back to Melodic Distraction, featuring a guest mix from Edinburgh-based selector Privet.
