Episode

Brought to you by Grace George, of London record shop The BBE Store & one half of DJ alias RAW SILK, Label of Love is a new series that tells short histories of music labels & their legacies.

For our bi-monthly show, LABEL OF LOVE explores the work of LA producer & performer, Jon St. James & his Enigma sub, Synthicide. Synth by name, Synth by nature the work of St. James & his various projects including female duo Bardeux are pure HI NRG & synth-pop cheese.

Mostly known for his work with 80's power-babe Stacey Q, St. James has a lifetime of work that is well worth exploring, including recent work with Ms. Q from 2020.

As always, this is a small & biased selection of music and we recommend you explore for yourselves what Synthicide, Enigma & the artists have to offer on Discogs & Youtube.
