Based in South Liverpool, Wavertree Worldwide is a socially conscious programme of community events run by a collective of friends that wanted to bring together a love of music, fashion and art.
Powered by a DIY DJ booth and a disco ball, Wavertree Worldwide are creating a new home for local events with an expansive outlook thanks to the reopening of Smithdown Social Club, a humble paradise where international artists meet Merseyside’s finest in an unpretentious space for dancing and guaranteed joy.
The crew are joined by Contours after he ripped the roof off at their latest Wavertree Worldwide Community Dance! Based in Manchester, Contours is a musician, producer and DJ. His sound explores the spaces, rhythms and textures that sit between jazz, house, broken-beat and worldwide percussive sounds.
