Tune in each month as Chris McBride tears through his heaving record collection to bring you some of the finest in funk and soul music.

Chris has been supplying rare records to DJs and producers alike for many years. He also runs Choonz Inc Records – Liverpool’s best nu-soul label and has compiled many funk-soul breaks compilations including the Fat and Funky series for Fat City. Be sure to dig through his records at The Merchant, where he hosts The Groove Merchant record fair every first Saturday of the month.

This month John Clement and Roger Williams step in for Chris, bringing a crate filled to the brim with their favourite 45's for a two hour masterclass in soul music.
