Mornings are back! Well with us that is. That’s right, no more walking through the musical forest of the morning without a voice to guide you along the way.

This month, Melodic Distraction have partnered up with Where Are The Girlbands to bring a selection of inspirational female figures, collectives & projects from across the Liverpool & North West creative scene...

Both Sides Records is a new independent record label based in the North of England. Our aim is to promote and support women and people from marginalised genders in the North. We release singles, unique commissions and special collaboration projects. Education is at the heart of what we do, with support provided at every stage to put in place a viable business plan for each of our signings. We want our artists to be able to feel confident in making key business and career decisions, with a clear knowledge of music industry practices. Unlike a traditional record label, our artists will be involved in every aspect of the decision making process.

Both Sides Records grew out of the work of the charity Brighter Sound and their innovative Both Sides Now programme, a ground-breaking gender equality initiative to support, inspire and showcase music creators and industry professionals across the North of England. Both Sides Records will carry on this work and continue to address the imbalance that exists within the music industry.
