Seatbelts are set to release new single "Citylines" out 12th of March, taken from their forthcoming EP Welcome Simplicity.
Written amidst the chaos of 2020 and recorded at Parr St Studios later that year, Seatbelts introduce new collaborators Christian Sandford (guitar, BIRD) and Sarah Sands (saxophone, Green Tangerines). These new additions give the track depth, broadening out into a new sound for Seatbelts.
"Citylines" finds Seatbelts in fine voice, with beautiful vocal harmonies layered over twinkling guitar lines and driving chords that draw comparisons with some of Biffy Clyro's best work. As James Madden explains, “Citylines is about yearning for experience. Yearning for the feeling of space, bathed in nature beyond the realms of a dysfunctional city. The mood of the song is inspired by reading Steinbeck's The Grapes Of Wrath”
The group have also released a stylish music video for "Citylines", which you can watch below! The band are planning to release videos for the full EP, so keep your eyes peeled to their socials to catch a first glimpse of them!
"City Lines" is out on the 12th March & keep it locked for the forthcoming release of Welcome Simplicity!
