Lockdown Live Lounge returns with two more concerts from one home to another! We may still be (2 metres) apart, but now more than ever we need to connect with our online communities to bring us together. We hope to do just that this week, with some more fresh talent from around the globe.
Lockdown Live Lounge invites our favourite artists, local and afar, to live-stream a mini gig from their homes. Every Monday and Thursday at 2pm give your ears and eyes a little hug from the freshest talent across the UK. An intimate experience direct from living room to living room, we invite you to sink into our ‘Lockdown Live Lounge’, but from the comfort of your own home. You don’t even have to get dressed to go out!
This week, we have a very special session coming from Tel Aviv, Israel, with singer, songwriter and film composer Zoe Polanski! Her newest album 'Violent Flowers' is an intimate collection of ethereal dream-pop, produced in collaboration with sound designer Aviad Zinemanas and released through Brooklyn based label Youngbloods.
Zoe is known in Israel as an integral member of the indie music scene, a go-to session musician and talented film composer. She’s shared the stage with Tame Impala, Swans, Bayone and Lætitia Sadier of Stereolab, as well as collaborating with celebrated cinematographer and film maker Fred Kelemen. With Violent Flowers, Zoe blends the DIY sensibilities of her early experimental solo work (under the alias Bela Tar) with the cinematic stylings of her compositions for film, creating music devoted to singular moments of time. Projecting her tranquillising voice across nine sonic vignettes, she hopes others will join her in casting lights across the geography of her closest memories and ideas. With a keen ear and open heart, they too will find pleasure in the various shadows and shapes they make.
Join us on our Facebook page for Zoe Polanski on Thursday 3rd September, 2pm.
